They come from different design backgrounds, training and personalities, but all have earned their spots on the show. Design On a Dime is a popular design show teaching viewers how to decorate rooms on a small budget. It encourages homeowners do it yourself to save money. Some of the design hosts on the show are Casey Noble, Lee Snijders, Kahi Lee, Frank Fontana, Brice Cooper and Kristan Cunningham. Each has a different story.Casey Noble studied interior design at The Fashion Institute Of design and Merchandising in California, where she specialized in hospitality design for hotels, restaurants, bars and spas. In 2009 she founded her own design firm. She competed in the 5th season of Design Star ending in the top three, then went on to be a Design On A Dime host.

In 2001 he became the designer and spokesperson for House to Home and appeared on other television design shows before becoming one of he hosts for Design On a Dime.Kahi Lee, a Californian, earned degrees in history, English literature and interior design at UCLA. She combines interior design with entertainment journalism, interviewing celebrities, reviewing fashion trends and Hosting Design On a Dime, as well as appearing on Free Style, The Tyra Banks show and My Celebrity Home.
Frank Fontana is an interior design and lifestyle expert who is a student of real world design. He started his own design firm in his 20′s to create themed parties, design night club decor and create cutting edge interiors for entertainment celebrities. He is a host on Design On a Dime and Takeover My Makeover.
Brice Cooper came from a design background including a mother who was a costume designer and a father who was a carpenter. He became a part designer, part artist, part carpenter kind of guy with a unique approach to design. In 2004 he hosted Fox’s Design Invasion before starting as host of Design On a Dime.
Kristen Cunningham went to the interior design school, at The University of Charleston in west Virginia, then moved to LA in 1999 where she worked for well know designers and showrooms before becoming a Design On A Dime Host. In 2001 she competed on HGTV Designers Challenge and in 2009 partnered with furniture company, Raymour and Flanegan as a design consultant.
Lisa La Porter is one of the hosts of Designed To Sell on HGTV. She attended the interior design school UCLA Department of Environmental Art and Design. She has appeared on Designers Challenge, Designing For The Sexes and Designed To Sell. She has her own design firm with many prominent clients, drawn by her strong design sense, practicality and ability to listen to their needs and wants.
